RECAP – Automotive Inspiration: Creating Your Own Car Designs

Jul

Written by Kiani Ned, Marketing Intern

Weekend Events 079

On Saturday, June 29, Instructor Mike Viafora helped  students create car designs using watercolor, tempera paint and colored pencils.  Viafora’s beautiful prints and paintings of cars can be seen and purchased in The Cummer Store.

Viafora set out examples of his own work to inspire the students, who were between the ages of 7 and 13. Each student sketched an outline of their own car designs from printed images of cars and then modified them to their liking. The students then filled in the outlines of their car designs with watercolor paint, tempera paint, or colored pencils.

If you are interested in signing up your children for art classes or other events at The Cummer Museum please visit our website or call at (904) 356-6857.
