Dustin Harewood was born and raised in New York City in the 1980’s. In the early 90’s his family moved to Barbados, where he spent his high school years.  He moved back to the U.S to get his first degree in art at North Carolina Central University. He later attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, where he received his M.F.A in painting and drawing. After graduating, he moved to Jacksonville, where he is currently co-running the Art Program at FSCJ’s Kent Campus.
