What is Art? Art is Inked!

Mar

23

What is tattoo art? Is it simply infusing ink into your skin or is it so much more…? To some, it’s a permanent reminder, to others self-expression or religious transformation – and to the artists, it is the most unique and fragile mobile canvas one could ask for to showcase their passion.

Join the Up & Cummers as they host What is Art? Art is Inked at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens on Tuesday, April 10th at 6:30 p.m.

This event will showcase the work of local tattoo artists including Gary Doyle, Tim Herbert, Aaron Murray, Jimmy Thiel and Graham Wilbraham.

This event will also showcase professional photography of tattoos by these artists and more. An assortment of beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres will be provided by, Intuition Ale Works, Riverside Liquors & Village Wine Shop, Zoe’s Kitchen, and O’Brothers Irish Pub. Additional in-kind sponsors include Agility Press, Inc., Amber Aultman, Cypress, Jensen Hande Studios, and Team Black.

Special thanks to our title sponsors, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Florida and Scott-McRae Group | Duval Family of Dealers.

Pricing for the event is as follows: Up and Cummers Members: $15 | Non-members: $25

To purchase tickets or for more information about joining Up & Cummers, please contact Emily Magevney at emagevney@cummer.org or call 899.6027.
